Today, as the country gets ready to lock down again, for what’s the fourth wave in a viral pandemic that carries the -19 identifier because it started IN 2019, we are seeing record numbers of infections, in children and adults, the vast majority of whom haven’t been vaccinated.
In the second post, I ended with the following flat statement:
Talk to me six months from now. If all of this is a distant, awful memory, I will thank you for reminding me that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it could be.

I hear that everything looks right.
Speeches are flawless. Tech is working.
People are coming out and apologizing for voting Trump.
I see all of that.
I haven’t seen a single night of the Democratic Convention.
Haven’t listened to a single speech.
Not one.
Why?

I just finished updating the Presidential Primary list. There is one pending Primary (CT) and two are still waiting on final numbers (NY/NJ), but there’s no question about the difference in popular vote numbers. Even with all the canceled Republican primaries, we’re talking about approximately 16 million more Democratic votes than Republican.
Unfortunately, that’s not how the Presidential election actually works, with the exception of Nebraska and Maine. With winner take all races, there are some surprising numbers, not all of them good. Continue reading “Three months, three days…”
